The new Callaway Rogue ST Drivers have arrived! GOLFTEC Ambassador Kenzie O’Connell stopped by GOLFTEC Headquarters to check out this year’s new driver models, and GOLFTEC Director of Club Fitting, Brad Skupaka took her through a club fitting to see if Rogue ST could give Kenzie more distance and accuracy.
GOLFTEC’s Fitting Process
The GOLFTEC Fitting Process is an in-depth look at your current equipment, how you swing the club, and what your usual misses are on the course.
After talking with Kenzie, she really wanted to avoid the right miss, or slice, which is common for many golfers. Hitting a few shots with her current driver gave Brad a baseline.
There are a few key numbers to look at when it comes to getting fit at GOLFTEC – ball speed, backspin, launch, decent angle, and of course distance.
Callaway Rogue ST Drivers
The Callaway Rogue ST features three different models including the Rogue ST Max, Rogue ST Max LS and Rogue ST Max D.
Since the Max LS head is slightly fade-biased, Brad ruled that one out for Kenzie, as she doesn’t fight a hook. For players who do tend to draw or even hook the ball a lot, this would be a great option.
The Max produces more of a neutral ball flight, while the Max D has a weight in the heel of the club promoting a slight draw bias. If your miss tends to be a cut or slice, the Max D would be a great option to help correct a little bit of that.
The Results Are In
Kenzie elected to go with the Callaway Rogue Max D because she really liked the consistency off the face, visually it produced the ball flight she wanted, turning some slight misses to the right into nice little draws to the left, and of course she got some added distance!
Brad also fitted her into a little bit longer and lighter shaft. The shaft worked well with the new Rogue Max D producing Kenzie’s best shots of the day.

loved the video and walking through different shafts & heads with detailed, intentional purpose.
Callaway might not be thrilled that their signature line is misspelled multiple times in the article though (rouge vs rogue).
thanks
Glad you enjoyed the video Andy! Thank you for pointing out Rogue spelling, we made sure to fix it!
ummmm, help me out here…when did she his the Rogue ST? the entire metric screen showed the Epic Max…what did i miss?
Thanks for watching! Since the Rogue ST was brand new, we didn’t have that model in our system yet, so we used the Epic Max icon instead. But be assured she was hitting the Rogue ST! Good catch though!
