GOLFTEC recognizes our outstanding group of women coaches who help their students play better golf every day
I’m definitely one of the lucky ones. I’m lucky I was taught the game of golf at a young age and it’s stuck with me my entire life. It took me to college and helped me land a pretty sweet gig here at GOLFTEC. Often known as a “boys club,” golf wasn’t always the easiest sport to be introduced into as a little girl. But as my passion for the game grew, the exclusivity of the game shrunk.
Fortunately for any female, young or old, joining the game today, it’s a little easier thanks to The World Golf Foundation for creating events like Women’s Golf Day. Women’s Golf Day (WGD) is a single-day event scheduled the first Tuesday of every June (reschedule for September 1, 2020, due to COVID19) to introduce new female participants to golf and celebrate existing players by joining them together irrespective of race, religion, language, ethnicity, or location. WGD has become a global movement and celebrates women and girls learning golf skills that last a lifetime and being part of a larger global community.
WGD strives to Engage, Empower, and Support women and girls through the event and platform. The one day, four-hour event has now taken place at more than 900 locations in 52 countries since its inception in 2016 and has introduced thousands of new golfers to the sport. WGD created an incredible global community in four years and has the support of almost every major golfing governing body and organization.
As we celebrate Women’s Golf Day, GOLFTEC wants to highlight our amazing female Coaches across North America who help every type of golfer be introduced to the game and play their best golf every single day.

Jessica is an NCAA All-American from The University of Florida and played professional golf on The Ladies European Tour. She coached the women’s program at NC State for 2 years leading her to a career in teaching and coaching. Her drive is to help improve golfers of all abilities to play their best golf.

Lianne is a 30 year Class A member of the PGA of Canada. During her 34 years of teaching, she has taught all levels of golfers. She has taught with Sandra Post, wrote and produce a Rogers Cable Golf show, was a scholarship and letter winner of the University of Georgia. A Former Head Professional at Scarlett Woods Golf Course and Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto. She is also a Certified Club Fitter.

Karen owned and operated the Karen Walker Golf Academy in Santa Clarita, CA. Other notable positions were Head Teaching Professional at Scratch Golf in Valencia, CA and General Manager of Warm Springs Golf Course in Sun Valley, ID.

With a passionate teaching philosophy, Andrea is determined in mentoring students in becoming the best golfers.

Ariel Jagmin is a born and raised Chicago Golf Professional. Ariel has over 14 years of experience teaching and coaching golfers of all skill levels. Ariel went to the University of St. Francis and played collegiate golf for 4 years. After college, Ariel moved to Naples, Florida and studied under a PGA Master Professional and then moved into the Professional Golfers’ Management Program.

Erin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from St. Edward’s University along with playing college golf for 4 years. She began teaching in the Houston area in 2012 and has studied under many of Houston’s greatest instructors. She has taught thousands of lessons to many skill levels and looks forward to her teaching experiences at GOLFTEC.
